Position Highlights:
Looking for a board certified/eligible emergency medicine physician to join York Hospital Emergency Medicine Department
York Hospital is a Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center serving an annual volume of over 80,000+ visits per year
Recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, York Hospital offers the highest level of stroke care
Work with a team of physicians, advanced practice providers and 38 residents
The hospital boasts a wide range of support services, such as a laboratory with rapid turnaround times, a sizable hospitalist team to manage admissions efficiently, two well-equipped digital imaging exam rooms, and two cutting-edge CT Scanners.
The Emergency department at WellSpan is a high-volume facility, treating an average of 240 patients daily

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Licenses:
Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required and
Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required and
Must be credentialed for all core procedures. Upon Hire Required
Certification as an Emergency Medical Commander. Upon Hire Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Clinical skills and knowledge of emergency care, techniques and procedures.
Teaching skills.
