General Summary

An expert in critical incident response and professional development trainings, provides direct services, such as: supporting individuals and groups impacted by workplace traumatic events, facilitating educational and training programs, and understanding the needs of the employer so that exceptional service can be provided to customers. Serves as a key interface with the employer community.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Fosters, nurtures, and maintains strong, trusting relationships with key individuals from employer partners and others that influence retention and growth of existing program offerings.

  • Collaborates with and supports employer partners.

  • Responsible for active listening and understanding an employer's needs, pain points and story, then translating that knowledge into a responsive action support plan with determining how the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can best meet those needs.

  • Provides seamless and timely Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) support becoming certified through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) to offer individual and group debriefings following a traumatic event.

  • Provides timely triage and support to EAP members. Provides backup support as needed to the Care Management Team by taking calls from behavioral health members in need.

  • Maintains active on-call schedule in collaboration with Care Management team.

  • Proactively supports internal and external leaders including HR partners, CEOs and supervisors with consultative needs and questions to help optimize consistently high performance, engagement, and strong well-being of the workforce.

  • Attends benefit fairs and orientations to promote the EAP.

  • Provides evidenced-based professional development training and education to supervisors, senior leaders, and employees at all levels, covering a myriad of relevant topics in demand by employers, along with customizing training content to meet the specific needs of a given employer partner.

  • In collaboration with other leaders, analyzes the client's use of the product and identifies trends and success metrics by running reports. Shares opportunities with clients for greater product awareness, enrollment, and engagement.

  • On an as-needed basis, collaborates with partners to engage employers in discussions that will assess and concretize their EAP needs.

  • Ensures the timely and successful delivery of EAP solutions according to employer needs and objectives.

  • As applicable, retains long-term business through renewal of agreements by ensuring employer satisfaction.

  • Attends and actively participates in community and employer networking events to further build impactful relationships. Responsible for novel, creative, evidenced based content development of tangible deliverables to our employer partners with regular frequency regarding educational information about health, health education and healthcare needs, concerns, and resources.

Travel Requirements:

  • Estimated Amount: 20% - Regional travel required.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree Required

  • Masters Degree Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 3 years Counseling or a related field Required and

  • Experience in crisis management and response, training/teaching, mental health, well-being, and substance use disorder Required

  • Experience in domestic violence, grief counseling, and workplace problems Preferred

Licenses:

  • Certified in Critical Incident Stress Management Upon Hire Required

  • Licensed Professional Counselor Upon Hire Preferred or

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker Upon Hire Preferred or

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Upon Hire Preferred or

  • Licensed Psychologist Upon Hire Preferred

Driver's License Statement:

Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.

Courses and Training:

  • QPR - (Question, Persuade & Refer) Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training Upon Hire Preferred

  • MHFA - Mental Health First Aid training Upon Hire Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced written and oral communication skills.

  • Public speaking and presentation expertise.

  • Knowledge of adult and childhood educational principles.
